I am neither an coffee or tea person. I am more of a hot chocolate person.

ReplyDeleteI only drink tea if I am under the weather
My name is Brenda. I teach early childhood special education. I used to work in an office and found it to be endless tirelss work with absolutely no satisfaction. I missed celebrating the small things that made me smile. I decided to become a teacher and have never looked back. Everyday is a celebration and a challenge. Thats why teaching is so rewarding! Outside of work I enjoy running and singing. I would consider myself a coffee person in the morning and a tea person in the evening- (but only during Monday through Thursday!) :)
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Lorraine. I'm a fifth grade teacher. I teach because I enjoy watching children learn and discover new things. ReplyDeleteMy name is John Healy. I am a Science Cluster teacher for grades 1-5 at PS 59 in the Bronx. Last year was my first year teaching science in my school. I taught 3rd grade for 8 years and, my first year there, I taught a 4th grade inclusion class.I have been at PS 59 for 9 years. My first year of teaching was as a Life Science teacher for grade 7 at the Port Chester/ Rye Middle School in Westchester. I love anything that has to do with science (which is everything) and lately have become interested in Geology. To that end, I am taking a course later this summer at the American Museum of Natural History. There is so much amazing history associated with Manhatten and the other boroughs that is right in front of us just ripe for the teaching. Did you know that at one time Long Island and Staten Island were connected by a moraine ( anaccumulation of boulders, stones, or other debris carried and deposited by a glacier)? Or that the Hudson River was no more than only a stream?
ReplyDeleteNeither did I.
On a more personal level, I love spending time with my wife, Pamela, and working around the house. The summer before last I completely gutted our downstairs bathroom, down to the beams. With the help of the internet I was able to complete all of the plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, tiling and just about anything els you can think of all by myself.
If I had to describe myself in three words they would be compassionate, pragmatic, and witty.
I enjoy Earl Gray tea with lemmon in the morning and iced tea all summer long.
John
